Dr. David Ivey grew up in the Don Mills area. He graduated from Queens University in 1985 and from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1989. He spent 3 years working as an associate doctor in two different offices before taking over Shaughnessy Family Chiropractic from Dr. Ron Gibson in 1993. The office has been serving the Henry Farm community since 1966.
Jane Ivey is from Vancouver. She retired as a Registered Nurse to act as Office Manager when the Iveys joined the Henry Farm community. Gillian and Rachel Ivey were born and raised here in the Henry Farm, and now work part-time in the office.
The Iveys are active in their community and their neighbourhood school. They are committed members of their Church- involved in leadership, children’s ministry and music programs. Dr. Ivey also enjoys speaking to outside organizations about a variety of issues on health and wellness including prenatal and parenting classes, churches, fitness clubs, seniors’ centres, and lunch hour lectures for offices. Please contact us if you are part of a group that would be interested in a guest speaker.
While attending a training course to use the Computerized Thermography and Surface EMG scans in 1998, Dr. Ivey was introduced to research on Network Spinal Analysis. Since 1999, he has attended a number of Post Graduate Courses in this technique, and has transitioned the office to this tonal approach to health and wellness.
